We are Helen and Mark, a husband-and-wife studio in Charlottesville. Helen leads; Mark is the second photographer, the driver, and the one who remembers everyone's name.

We believe wedding photographs should be beautiful in the ordinary sense of the word: clear, warm, true to the day, and printed in a book. We don't chase trends and we don't over-edit. The pictures we made in 2012 still look right, which is the only test that matters.

We photograph twenty weddings a year, and we still write thank-you notes by hand.
